What it actually is
PPA Buddy is a community for UK teachers, run on Skool. It’s about using AI and better systems to get the low value admin off your plate, so the job stops following you home.
I’m Claire. I teach secondary, I run a curriculum area, and I’ve been in classrooms for seventeen years. Everything in here has been tried in a real school week.
It isn’t software. There’s nothing to install, nothing that plugs into your school systems, and it never touches student data.

What you get
Live sessions every week, alternating between two things. PPA Power Hour is for getting something off your list in company. Workload Lab is for testing one small change and seeing whether it actually holds.
The Prompt Vault. Planning, marking, reports. The prompts that already work, so you’re not starting from a blank box at 6am.
Custom UK GPTs, built around DfE guidance and how schools here actually run.
The course, if you want it. AI Workload Revolution is four modules, self-paced, and it’s the structured route through all of this. Nobody checks whether you’ve done it. Plenty of members just turn up to the live sessions and raid the vault, and that’s a perfectly good way to use the place.
Somewhere to ask. When a workflow doesn’t work first time, and it won’t, there are people in there who’ve already hit the same wall.
What PPA Buddy isn’t
Worth saying openly, because these get assumed.
- It isn’t a lesson planning tool. You won’t get plans generated for you, and you shouldn’t want that. The thinking is the job.
- It isn’t Ofsted aligned, and neither is anything else. Ofsted doesn’t require or endorse a planning format. Anyone selling you “Ofsted aligned” resources is selling you something Ofsted never asked for.
- It doesn’t connect to anything. No Teams, no Google Workspace, no Arbor. Nothing for IT to approve.
- It never asks for or handles student data. The workflows are built so pupil information doesn’t go near an AI tool in the first place.
- It isn’t a programme with an end date. The course is there if you want structure. The rest is somewhere you come back to on the weeks you need it.
Come in if
- You’re regularly working evenings or Sundays just to stay level
- Your PPA keeps getting taken by cover, meetings and quick asks
- You want to use AI sensibly, without a safeguarding problem
- You’d rather have a system than another burst of motivation
- You want to keep doing the job properly and still have a life
Probably not your thing if you’re after an overnight fix. Nothing in here works that way.
What a month usually looks like
You pick one Workload Lab pilot and run it for a fortnight. You use one prompt from the vault for reports, or feedback, or the email you’ve been avoiding. You say no to one thing using a script rather than a paragraph of apology.
Then you bank the time instead of filling it. That last part is harder than it sounds.
